Online Delivery & Returns
Objekt Design Space is a small independent store.We sell unique design led pieces sourced from all over Europe. All items on our website are manually uploaded and adjusted by our staff in store.We don’t make any profit from delivering products to our customers and have chosen to charge separately for delivery based on the weight, size & fragility of each item.At Objekt, we care about reducing waste. Because we receive a lot of packaging through our furniture deliveries, we do our part for the environment by repurposing these materials to safely pack and protect your online orders.
Delivery Times & Charges
In Stock: If an item is physically in stock in our showroom or our warehouse it will say so online. Each item listed has automatically been assigned a suitable delivery option and a charge associated with this is automatically shown at check out.
To Order: We also sell pieces on our website that are not physically in our shop or warehouse but have to be ordered from our European suppliers. As such, delivery times vary from supplier to supplier. You will find the estimated lead time on each product page under the description drop down.
Tracked Post: €7.50 for items less than 10kg, not requiring specialised handling, will be delivered by tracked post. These items normally take up to two working days but this can vary depending on how busy different depots are nationwide. We will email the customer the tracking number assigned to their delivery.
Courier: From €17 for items greater than 10kg or large in size requiring courier delivery. We use Fastways courier that normally take 2-4 working days but this can vary depending on how busy different depots are nationwide. Customers must be flexible to the estimated time given by the courier. Items must be received at the delivery address given by the customer. We will arrange in advance with the customer a suitable day for delivery. The courier will have your contact details and will contact you directly. We can track the status of your delivery from our store. We will contact customers after an item is delivered to check it is to your satisfaction.Please note that ALL deliveries will be made between 9 - 5 pm on a working day, this means that all shipping addresses need to have a person available between these times to accept.
Van delivery:From €100 Large and or delicate items that need assembly/specialised handling by an Objekt representative, they will contact you to schedule a delivery slot. Delivery depends on volume, location and special items arrival in store.
An AM or PM slot will be given to you, however, occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances outside our control, traffic congestion or bad weather, we are not always able to meet appointed slots. Please supply sufficient contact numbers for us to contact you at all times on that particular day.As soon as your goods arrive, they are checked and you will be contacted regarding delivery. Delivery dates and stock due dates do not form part of any contract with us and we can not be held liable if your order is delayed or not delivered by any dates that may have been given by us. Delivery is up to your front door or entrance to your property. If you require your furniture to be placed in a specific room, we are happy to do so, however, we can not accept responsibility for any occurrence that may take place after this.
Objekt must be advised of all cancellations of booked deliveries at least 48 hours prior to delivery.Customers are advised when placing an order to ensure the dimensions and size of the merchandise you have ordered will fit the designated room and through any passages, stairwells, landing and doorways on the way to its destination.
Objekt will not accept responsibility for any furniture that will not fit into its intended location. Before delivery, please ensure that all access routes, including door frames and flooring, are prepared. If the product purchased includes assembly, please have the area prepared, if it is deemed unsafe, still under construction or renovation. We reserve the right to leave the goods in their original packaging if area is not viable and we can revisit to assemble at a later date. However, this extra service will have to be paid for.On delivery, all packaging and cardboard is removed from your house, unless specifically requested. It is advised that each item is carefully inspected immediately upon delivery.
Delays
We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated time scales, however, deliveries are occasionally late due to unforeseen factors, such as the availability of items and the delivery arrangements of our international suppliers. The availability dates are subject to change for a number of reasons and it doesn’t depend on us but on suppliers.We have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered, however, you have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time and get a refund prior to the item being dispatched.
Returns Policy-Terms & Conditions
If you have changed your mind about an online purchase, you have 14 days from the day you received your order to return, please contact us directly in store by calling 06978223 or email info@objekt.ie. It is the customers responsibility to return the item in person to our store or arrange delivery to our store.We will respond to your request as quickly as possible and process your refund once it is accepted and the item has been returned.
- To receive a full refund for your online order, the item must be in "as new" condition, not assembled and be in the original, undamaged packaging.
- The goods are your responsibility until they reach us, so make sure they’re packed appropriately.
- In the unlikely event that an item is returned to us in an unsuitable condition, we may have to send it back to you. When sending your item back, you must obtain proof of your return.
- The customer is responsible for properly opening the product without damaging the packaging and ensuring they are satisfied with the product before disposing of the packaging.
- Accessory & furniture items will be returned at the customer's own expense should the product be unsuitable.
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase usually within 10 days.
Returning A Damaged Product:
To assist us please contact us before returning so we are aware of returns due in store.
We want to be 100% sure that you are satisfied with your goods upon delivery. We require you to check the items immediately – once unpacked – to ensure your items have been delivered safely in transit.
Any faulty or damaged product should be reported to us immediately after delivery by emailing info@objekt.ie with the information listed below.Please note that this does not apply to made-to-order products, which must be inspected at the time of delivery in the presence of the driver.Please include the following information:
- Your Order Number
- The name of the item you received is damaged/defective
- Photo of damaged/defective item
- Whether you prefer a refund or replacement item
We will respond to your message as quickly as we can. Please note, that it is critical that you keep all the original packaging and do not throw it before finishing the assembly. Without the original packaging is not possible to claim the goods.When you receive goods that require assembly, prior to installing, it is very important that you check the instructions and any parts listed to ensure that you have all the relevant parts and that you can fit the product in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. We cannot refund products that have been wrongly fitted or be responsible for any consequences of our products. We strongly recommend that you employ only qualified and experienced joiners and electricians to install our products.Faults that are caused by the consumer due to misuse of the goods or accidental damage are not covered by the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980.
Changing or Cancelling Orders
European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 only apply to your order if the goods have not been custom** made to your specification. **Custom made to Order item(s) that include any item that a specific size & colour was chosen by the customer when placing the order.If the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 do apply you can cancel your furniture by notifying us, in writing, before delivery or within 14 working days beginning with the day after the date of delivery.The option to cancel your order is not available:
- If you purchase sealed Goods which relate to health or hygiene, and they become unsealed after delivery, or cannot be re-sold for some other reason;
- If the goods become mixed inseparably (according to their nature) with other items after delivery.
- If you decide to cancel your order within 14 days after we have despatched the Goods, you have a further 14 days in which to return the Goods.
- You are responsible for the cost of returning the Goods. We have no obligation to refund you your cost of re-packing and returning the Goods.
- If you give notice to cancel the order to purchase the Goods, but then fail to return it within 14 days, we are entitled to arrange for its collection. If we do, we will look to you to repay the cost of collection.
- If the Goods you return show any sign of damage then we shall be entitled to deduct the cost from your refund money.
- In the event of the cancellation of an order by you in compliance with these terms, we will refund any money due to you within 14 days.
This paragraph does not affect your rights in the event that the Goods are faulty.
